Rick Ross continues to fire back at 50 Cent, this time saying that the G-Unit general is the reason why Marc Ecko’s clothing empire is failing. Talking to radio personality Bodo, Ricky detailed 50‘s short-lived history with women and bad business ventures. “The music ended his career,” Ross explained. “The way he dress ended his career. He almost put Marc Ecko outta business. He f*cked Vivica Fox and ended her career as an actress. It’s the truth, it’s the truth. We just coming to make hot records, you know what I’m saying? That’s how you kill the haters, you continue to be successful, you stay focused. That’s what it is, I stay focused, grounded. I never forget the small people. I always go back to my community, you know what I mean? And they embrace it and to me, that’s what’s important.”
50 Cent‘s clothing line left Marc Ecko‘s company over a year ago after rumors swirled that the rapper’s four-year-old clothing company was on its last leg with Ecko. Staffers at G-Unit Clothing were later notified that they would be let go. 50 would likely retain complete ownership of the brand and attempt to relaunch the line with another manufacturer. Marc Ecko‘s financial records recently emerged showing his company is nearly $200 million in debt.
It seems though that Ross took a loss recently as his whole album was leaked online. Damn, is the secretary at Def Jam selling them joints to online hustlers?
Talib Kweli will hit the stage next to Hi-Tek as Reflection Eternal reunites at this year’s “Rock the Bells” festival, but wait that’s not everything. “There’s a possibility that Mos might be coming out on that, too,” Kweli, intimating Mos Def could hit the stage for a few dates of the summer festival. One thing is sure, Mos and Talib will be doing a few shows at the Nokia Theater in Times Square on May 30th.
In related news, the newly reunited Reflection Eternal put out a video today called “Back Again“

After news broke that Scott Storch was arrested for grand theft auto after he didn’t pay for a leased Bently, many people thought maybe it was the Bently he gave Lil Kim as a gift. Well those people turned out to be correct. Lil’ Kim has been named a key person in Scott Storch’s recent car theft arrest, with reports surfacing that the alleged stolen Bentley was a gift to her from the producer. The Bentley actually belonged to record producer Scott Storch, but he ran out on the lease in 2007 and he never gave the car back to the Florida-based leasing company. Instead he gave the car to Lil’ Kim at some point in time. Eventually, the repo company went to Kim’s place in New Jersey and took it back.

Mona’s Raptors party was hot, hosted at the sexy Maro in Toronto where Mr. Maximus, Taj, held down the MC’ing for the ode to tree tall party goers – yeah I’m hating lol. For real the lucky lady held it down in the most official way. I loved the venue and the VIP guest list was handled perfectly.
Brazen Hussy had the packed and crazy VIP! Rammed and filled with more bottles than a Molson factory, people standing on couches and more who’s who of the up and coming Toronto entertainment industry than anywhere else. I wont speak on the venue because there were many flaws but as always the ladies through a dope party.
P.S.
The after party Chinese food was super dope – spicy shrimp can gwan lol! Thanks Pretty Sweet, Michelle, Sunshine and Crissie.
Mad love and a shout to Catriona Smart who is becoming one of my new favorite socialites to bump into; class and swagger all in one kudos!
