Carribean culture has a slang word called “Broughtupsy”, derived from the words brought and up, referring to the way one was raised. If there was a person who had to be reminded that they must wash their hands regularly, wash their face regularly or cover their mouth when coughing, they would be accused of not having any broughtupsy; of not being raised well.
Growing up with this type of training, shared by many cultures, I find it funny that internationally news programs and talk shows are informing people that they need to do these things to ward of desease and illness. Even more shocking is that some people seem unaware of this fact, if this is indeed the case, then parents you must do better. Thankfully I do not take public transit (other than airplanes) but if I did, I would be scared. I would be the angry dude in the back of the bus like, “I wish a fool would sneeze on me and not cover their mouth!” Trust me if you had not learned by that time to cover your mouth, you would have gotten a free lesson on the spot lol. Lets step it up blog family. I know we were raised to be clean.
