DAILY RANT: WOULD YOU PUT FLASH BEFORE FOOD?

Forbes.com ran an article today, where they ranked the strength of the world’s luxury brands and this is what they found:

To rank the brands, consumers were asked about their loyalty to each brand and also about their attitudes toward the future of the brand (for example, whether or not its stock will increase value or its sales will increase).  In 2009, Google topped the complete list, with a brand value of $100 billion.

In the luxury category, Louis Vuitton came out on top, with a brand value of $19.4 billion, followed by Hermès at $7.86 billion, Gucci at $7.47 billion, Chanel at $6.22 billion and Rolex at $5.53 billion.

I’m lettin you know about that article to illustrate this point, while we are in these tough financial times I find it surprising that everyday people that I know and see are still spending money on new luxury items while they are crying broke.  Now before I am called a hypocrite let me say that there is a difference between buying luxury items when you can afford them and buying them with your last dollar.  That being said, lets try and remember that a car payment, mortgage/rent and food are the necessities that should be put first to enhance the luxury of living well.

This was written before I put on my luxury clothes, to leave my luxury styled home to start the engine in my luxury car.  Help me, I have an illness lol.  Peace fam.
