TRU LIFE IS NOT PLAYING, SOMEONE IS IN TROUBLE

Whoever allegedly robbed Tru-life’s brother is probably wishing they didn’t. Well, actually one of them is dead now. So, that’s tragic. Nevertheless, I heard this “bumrush” was deep yesterday on the Avenue and they were shooting bullets in the air around 2 am in the morning, screaming out, we doesn’t care about the cops or what happen. I don’t know about this. I’m not a gun-slinger.

I cosign, anyone who knows anything about Tru Life knows he and his family are not ones to mess with, especially on the west coast– Verse

50 CENT SAYS, “HOW ABOUT SOME HARDCORE?”

I am not sure, but I have been told that this information is “official.” 50 Cent has reached out to D-Block to invite them to an event that he is having in August. This could also act as a a defacto Dipset reunion, because the G-Unit Leader has also invited the whole Dipset, including Cam. Now, we know that Cam and 50 haven’t not been buddies, but we’ll see on this. He’s cool with the rest of the Dips. 50 will also reportedly bring out Method Man, KRS-One, Rakim, Maino, Redman and others.

I don’t know if you saw the video, but 50 deficated on Jay-Z and rode for Freeway. Check out the quote:

50 Cent got that new grimey sound.  He said he wants to introduce hardcore rap to this new generation of hiphop listeners.  I’m tired of seeing them in spandex tight jeans in flourescent coulours; get ‘em 50!

RIHANNA IS APPARENTLY OVER DRAKE

Word is Rihana is over Drake and onto some new crush but I’m not posting who.  Rihanna loves Toronto so I’m keeping the connection alive until she starts taking flicks with him or Drake gets a new celeb chick LOL.  Do you notice that Toronto is running things right now?!  Here is the Bajan princess, killing a short dress.

DAME DASH HAS HIS OWN BOOK COMING!

Books are like the new album these days. Well, first there is Amil and now I am getting the word that Dame Dash is also writing a book about his life and times. In fact, I heard Dame’s book is already finished. Guess who I am hearing the book was written by none other than Kim Osorio, the former editor-in-chief of The Source magazine. Yeah, baby – Dame’s about to be BACK! Anyway, I heard he is looking for a publisher or distribution for this masterpiece! Good luck!

COULD NORTH AMERICA LEARN FROM THE IRANIAN PEOPLE?

Over the years I have watched international media and thought how blessed we are as a nation to live free of war and civil unrest; that sentiment has not changed.  Yet, there is something missing from this generation and arguably the immediate one before it, a cause that awakens the people, that challenges authority and reminds both civilians and government the power and the role of the people; to serve and to be served.

I look at America and I have noticed many marches and riots, albiet smaller than civil rights movements but significant in their own right.  Perhaps as an outsider I am not grasping the mood of the American people but I would encourage them to learn from the Iranian people and be prepared to fight for the major issue of their day – universal health care.  It is my opinion that former President Bush was afforded too much in not having to deal with massice civil revolt around his war.  Lets not let this opportunity pass to invigorate the spirit of the people.

Yes I realize I am not addressing Canada but as much as I love my country and my people I have long realized, that we are often a country of complacency in regard to challenging our government openly in the street in masses, prepared to go beyond “peaceful protest”.  Let us all wake up, before we eternally lay to rest our fighting spirit.
