Over the weekend, there was a huge rumor that Chris Brown was going to perform in a dedication to Michael Jackson. Well, that rumor was supposedly a reality until the last minute. I was told that, because of Jay-Z’s huge relationship with Rihanna, he wouldn’t permit the young domestic abuser in the place to be – even for MJ. Now, I don’t know if Jay-Z truly has that sort of power over BET. Another theory seems a lil’ more realistic. BET just didn’t want the controversy of Chris Brown, who just plead out to felony assault, to be the hallmark of their event. Time will tell, but I think Chris Brown would have pushed the Awards Show well over the top.
I still remember the one of his performances where he was jumping from table top to table top; crazy!
