VERSE ROCKS LONDON ONTARIO

Lol, that is my tired, the night after performance, VIP is too crazy face.  London showed me so much love, it was amazing! We gave away bottles, a cell phone ……. it became nutes; loved it!  I can’t wait to go back in a BIG way.  Montreal, Hamilton, Windsor, Victoria we’re coming soon.  Until then, peace.

DRAKE TALKS JAY-Z COLLABORATION

Drake talked to MTV about his recent collab with Jay-Z.

“The Jay thing, I don’t know how official that is. I just read that on the Internet. But it’s cool. I’m glad the work I’m doing is something that people are even considering putting out as a single. ‘Cause singles, you have to be confident in those songs when you’re talking about singles. It’s great. I’m glad that I’m delivering for people.”

JOJO SIMMONS FROM ‘RUN’S HOUSE’ ARRESTED FOR POSSESION

Rather than keep the issue a private, family matter, Reverend Run will address the drug arrest of his son Joseph “JoJo” Simmons on an upcoming episode of  Run’s House.

On May 8, JoJo was arrested after buying marijuana in Washington Heights.

Along with criminal possession charges, the 19 year old teen was slapped with reckless endangerment for crashing his BMW into a parked car in an attempt to flee.

The episode shows Russell Simmons reminding his now reverend brother on his own past before being quick to condemn his young son.

“I’m not putting too much weight on him. I don’t know what he thought,” Reverend Run Stated. “I’m a reverend….I want him not to do it [smoke marijuana]. I wouldn’t like him to smoke it ever again. I’m a reverend, I can’t live off that.”

While sympathetic, Run’s mogul brother reminded him to keep his own checkered, pre-ministry past in perspective when disciplining JoJo.

“It’s not about you,” Russell Simmons countered. “You were in chimney when you were his age. You smoked up the whole house!”

“Well put it this way,” Run responded. “I did smoke weed, but that’s not the point. I’m hoping we can say something to him so that he won’t continue to get a rap sheet. Because if he ever does something again, they don’t just slap him on the wrist.”

JoJo Simmons also takes center stage to address his younger brother Russy and Diggy on the ramifications of his recent choices.

“My bad for not being around, and the stress I put everybody through,” JoJo told his younger siblings. “It was a careless mistake for me. Jail is no fun. When I was in a cell, I was thinking I’d trade anything in the world to come chill with y’all…Don’t let anyone pressure you into anything. Don’t make the same mistake that I made. See my mistake as y’all mistake, because that could’ve been y’all when y’all get older…Just remember what happened to JoJo, remember how mad he got Daddy and how much pain he put the family through. Stay focused.”

The Run’s House episode will air on MTV this Monday (June 22) at 10PM.

BEYONCE TEAM ATTACKS LATOYA LUCKETT’S PERFORMANCE

I hope this isn’t true! But it is being said that Matthew Knowles and Beyonce are making heavy-handed and concerted attempts to stop LeToya from performing at the BET Awards! I don’t know all of what went down with that but it just seems ill spirited.  Hope this is false.  This is what was said on WPGC down in Maryland.

Dj Flexx asked: “Let’s just say that it’s true, how does it make you feel that Matthew would go so hard at you to get you off the show?”

LeToya: “It saddens me a little. Because our situation happened close to 10 years ago, and I think as we all know Bey is a very very very talented artist, and I think that we both have our own lanes and fanbase, and I don’t see why I would have to be one of the ones picked out of the entire crew of females that will be hitting the stage that night. I don’t know… I’m gonna try and word this right… I just don’t understand why I’m picked outta that group because there are so many other female artists performin’ that night and I think we all deserve to have a chance at that stage. Everybody works hard and we all have something different to offer, from Keyshia to Keri to Bey, everybody is different in their own ways so it saddens me if that’s true, and I hope that’s not the case but I’ll be there regardless”.

ILLEGAL DOWNLOADING CAN COST YOU $1.9 MILLION!

A Minnesota woman must pay $1.9 million for downloading 24 songs, a jury has decided.

Jammie Thomas-Rasset is appealing a ruling against her levied by the RIAA who was happy with the decision. “We appreciate the jury’s service and that they take this as seriously as we do,” said a rep for the recording industry watchdog. Thomas-Rasset downloaded music from No Doubt, Linkin Park, Gloria Estefan and Sheryl Crow. If there is any fail, it is the fact that Jammie went to trail before and was fined $220,000. But the judge ordered a retry because of an error in messaging to the jury.

MORGAN FREEMAN’S AFFAIR WITH HIS OWN DAUGHTER!

According to the National Inquirer doesn’t have the best reputation for good reporting, but the fact is…they have broken significant stories in the past few years. John Edwards, holla! At any rate, an unnamed source has dimed out Morgan Freeman, saying that his divorce from his wife of 25 years was due to a 10 year affair with his 27-year-old step-granddaughter. OH BOY. The crazy thing is, they are also saying that his relationship with this step-grandkid is the reason he and his mistress were also broken up. Morgan is 72 and I want him to act his age! Seriously, I hope the legend has been acting appropriately and this is a bad rumor.

Word is the first Aunt Viv from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air is writing a tell-all book that’s rumored to be exposing Will Smith of preventing others from outshining him…

According to BVBuzz, this is what Aunt Viv is saying:

Whoever allegedly robbed Tru-life’s brother is probably wishing they didn’t. Well, actually one of them is dead now. So, that’s tragic. Nevertheless, I heard this “bumrush” was deep yesterday on the Avenue and they were shooting bullets in the air around 2 am in the morning, screaming out, we doesn’t care about the cops or what happen. I don’t know about this. I’m not a gun-slinger.

50 CENT SAYS, “HOW ABOUT SOME HARDCORE?”

I am not sure, but I have been told that this information is “official.” 50 Cent has reached out to D-Block to invite them to an event that he is having in August. This could also act as a a defacto Dipset reunion, because the G-Unit Leader has also invited the whole Dipset, including Cam. Now, we know that Cam and 50 haven’t not been buddies, but we’ll see on this. He’s cool with the rest of the Dips. 50 will also reportedly bring out Method Man, KRS-One, Rakim, Maino, Redman and others.

I don’t know if you saw the video, but 50 deficated on Jay-Z and rode for Freeway. Check out the quote:

50 Cent got that new grimey sound.  He said he wants to introduce hardcore rap to this new generation of hiphop listeners.  I’m tired of seeing them in spandex tight jeans in flourescent coulours; get ‘em 50!
