NAS & KELIS BACK TOGETHER?!

So on Monday, Nas and Kelis were in club Marquee together, and folks wondered if it was just a fluke coincidence…apparently not! The next night, the separated couple (and their newborn son) were affectionate and very much together at the opening of celeb hair stylist Anthony Dickey’s Hair Rules salon. As ugly as things got in this past few months, this is a surprising but positive development (see more at YBF).

RAPPER KIA SHINE CO-WROTE FOR DRAKE’S ‘BEST I EVER HAD’!

This is a very interesting rumor that people are telling me is FACT. Last week, there were the BMI Awards and all the stars showed up. One of those stars was rapper Kia Shine. Well, the Memphis rapper was there to get a BMI Award for “Best I Ever Had” from rapper Drake.

Kia Shine is a talented dude and definitely his royalty check is going to be the “best he ever had as well.” PROPS! By the way, I don’t research much, but I did verify this one. It’s a keeper and I heard that Kia gets about 25% of the profits.

CHRIS BROWN REPORTS FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE

Chris Brown reported for trash pick-up detail this morning in Virginia. When he spoke to CNN’s Larry King, he said that he was happy to do whatever punishment labor he was given but thought that he could do more by talking to young people the way that T.I. did as part of his parole. I’ve been thinking about, and while of course there’s the satisfaction of, “oh, now look at you, picking up trash, that serves you right.” Along with the simple fact that community service is a great way for punishment to translate into free labor for city works.

I can’t believe Obama’s off camera convo with an ABC reporter was leaked, somebody is probably getting snatched up by the secret service tonight, but here’s the audio that TMZ liberated.

THERE WAS NO FIGHT BETWEEN JAY & BEYONCE!

Beyonce and Jay didn’t have an epic fight that resulted in Jay going out with Rihanna. Beyonce went to work! I heard from a super reliable source that B jumped onto a private plane and jetted over to Australia for a show. On top of this, my Aussie friend Tommy G from Melbourne, Australia again hit me up and confirmed this! He told me he was in the mix for the “I Am” Australian tour at Rod Laver Arena last night. Beyonce just made it there on time too…she was on a plane within an hour of leaving the VMA’s!

Chart Watch: Jay-Z and Raekwon’s Numbers Are In

The number one spot…selling 465,000 copies of his latest studio album, The Blueprint 3… Jay Z! The self-proclaimed King of New York takes the top spot outselling the number two album by well over 300,000 copies. It’s good to see both Jay-Z and Raekwon do numbers and claim their place on the countdown.  Hopefully fans will be able to keep the two artists on the list for next week.

We finally get to some WU Hip Hop.  Raekwon sells 65,000 copies of his latest album, Only Built for Cuban Linx II, and claims the number five spot.
