I am so beyond words with this horrible war on the innocent. Read and mourn.

Gun play on Toronto’s streets has claimed another life this week after a man in his 20s was gunned down in a Lawrence Heights-area schoolyard Thursday morning.
Police were called to the scene in the yard of Flemington Public School, near Lawrence Avenue West and Allen Road, around 1:30 a.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
This death was the fourth due to gun violence this week in Toronto. A shooting at a community barbecue on Danzig Street in Scarborough claimed the lives of 14-year-old Shyanne Charles and 23-year-old Joshua Yasay on Monday night. A shaken Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair said the shooting was “unprecedented.” Twenty-three others were wounded by gunfire at the event.
Clayton Wright, 42, was shot to death Tuesday night in the parking lot at Eglinton Flats, near Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue.
The name of the victim killed on Thursday morning hasn’t been released.
Several people were reportedly seen fleeing the area after the gunfire erupted in the schoolyard, but police haven’t said exactly how many suspects they’re looking for.
A CityNews cameraman at the scene said police called out to the crowd gathered they needed to speak with witnesses, but officers were met by a wall of silence.
Of Toronto’s 30 homicides so far this year, 20 have been shootings.
Mayor Rob Ford and Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty will discuss this summer’s increase in gun violence at a meeting on Monday. Ford, McGuinty and Blair all spoke with each other in the aftermath of the Danzig shooting. The mayor reportedly also spoke with Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and asked the federal government to take action.
Ford plans to ask McGuinty for more police funding. Last summer, the province gave Toronto $10 million to fight crime. The money went to the Toronto Anti-Violence Intervention Strategy (TAVIS), run by Toronto Police.
TAVIS was created in 2006 after the infamous Year of the Gun when 42 of Toronto’s 80 murders were shootings.
