I love me a Young Jeezy record and it would seem that so do some of the gun men in Ontario. In two consecutive concerts, Toronto and London, Atlanta artist and trap star Jeezy has had both concerts cancelled due to shootings. You might want to settle for buy the CD until people realize true security is part the cost of booking an artist.
The streets are always watching and a young promoter suffered a lot of backlash for his disorganization. I was almost put on this concert’s roster but everything happens for a reason. The night dealt with failed appearances and performances with Fabolous appearing at 2AM and security concerns preventing him from entering VIP. There are some details I wont speak on like which Canadian MC brought heat to deal with the promoter’s disorganization, the amount of money lost or the several other sad details. I will even refrain from mentioning this young promoters name, simply for the possibility that perhaps rookie mistakes oppose to shadiness caused this fiasco.
I will say this, Fab and his camp are not happy, the venue that hosted the event are not happy, the media that were mistreated are not happy and the security that was ill advised and organized causing Fabolous to dodge a bottle are not happy.
Moral of this story, walk before you attempt to run.

We have the inside track here at LIFE Records and some times that means we get intel before the dust settles. That being said the good people behind the Fabolous concert hit me up directly and told proved to me the concert is on and the official date is March 26th. So let’s get 2 things clear straight from the big homie VERSE’s mouth:
1.) My bad. It is our job to keep people informed and we are passionate about that but we NEVER mean to harm anyone doing sincere, honest business. So from me to the good people behind this event, I am sorry.
2.) THE FABOLOUS CONCERT IS 100% REAL AND IS TAKING PLACE MARCH 26TH AT KOOLHAUS WITHIN THE GUVERMENT COMPLEX. Get your tickets as soon as they are available.
Shout out to the homie Sadat! When we get word from Koolhaus or Fab himself we will bring that to you as well.
P.S.
There are some crazy special guests but we will touch on this concert again
Just for the record, Fabolous’ camp is saying they are not going to be in Toronto so that concert at Koolhaus is loo king like a SCAM.
Looks like wires got crossed and not everyone was on the same page. Fabolous is definitely coming to Toronto on March 26th at Koolhaus. It turns out the concert is going to be a must see for the city of Toronto. More on that later.
Rumor has it that the Dipset concerts are cancelled. Go get your refunds people!
She was majestic and healthy, regal in a dashiki during her performance at the Sound Academy last night. With no opening act it would be hard to say fairly that she was late and the crowd was more than willing to wait. She came comfortable and performed as if she never left. The truth is though that her performance was for the die hard fans. Many left not liking the change in instrumentation and tempo, making it difficult to sing along with her to her classics. Either way L Boogie is back in a way she has not been for several years, and regardless of the performance details was adored by Toronto. Peace.
Someone please tell me this isn’t true. I really need someone to get back to me on this and let me know if this is true or not. I have been hearing that Lil Wayne has been upset with Drake and that he put hands on him after his come out appearance at a Drake concert. Here is what the Urban Daily is reporting.
“Here’s the info we got, from a MEMBER OF YOUNG MONEY. There’s been growing FRICTION between Drake and Lil Wayne, and last Saturday night – it BLEW UP!!!
The insider explains, [Mack Maine and Baby] set it up so that Saturday would be Wayne’s coming out party. But he didn’t want to do it. . . Wayne has some bad feelings with Drake, he feels that Drake left him out there while we was [locked up]. So Wayne didn’t want to do the concert.”
But Bryan “Birdman” Williams managed to convince Weezy to fly to Vegas for the concert. And while things looked OK on stage, they were TERRIBLE off. Our insider explained, “Wayne didn’t even say a word to Drake until that point . . . but after the concert, he disciplined him.” What does that mean. Well, allegedly [cause we aint trying to get him violated] Wayne walked over to Drake and punched him in his face. Security reportedly BROKE IT UP and escorted Wayne off the property.
Later on that night, Lil Wayne supposedly tried to meet up with Drake again, at the concert afterparty at the nearby Wynn. But security for the Wynn were told NOT to allow Wayne into the premises.”
Nicki Minaj has gotten kicked off of the up and coming Rihanna tour. The reasons are rumour fan fare but it would seem that everyone, including both of the stars camps were on board with the plan but Rihanna herself wasn’t feeling Nicki. It would seem that this Minaj, has dried up. Other reports are that Young Money feels Nicki is too big of a star to open up for anyone but I highly doubt that, clearly it is Nicki that would benefit from this concert. I guess we will here more soon.
NaS brings another HipHop heavy weight, Rza, to rock the mic at his HipHop concert in Hawaii recently. Classic HipHop moment here.
Sorry, the link was missing. Here it is now though.
Mikey: Last night at Webster Hall in New York City, XXL Magazine held a Haiti relief concert featuring Styles P, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, and DJ Kay Slay. Hosted by Mike Epps, the small venue was packed to capacity with Hip-Hop heads out to support a great cause. Before the show ended, Juelz brought out his homie Lloyd Banks to perform their new record “Beamer, Benz, or Bentley” (props Thisis50).
